There are work-a-rounds and \ntechniques that make the Original Bar Harness work just fine for most \nfolks but the Bar Harness II addresses those issues and is even quicker \nto install, and the same price. 1. The Original Bar Harness would often \ntend to “scrunch” up the grips if not installed properly or if they were\n over-tightened or the grips were not properly glued to the bars. 2. In \nthe process of scrunching grips, the cuffs would migrate inward which \nwould move your tie downs closer to body work. …not always a good thing.\n  3. The cuffs, in order to clear a wider variety of fairings were made \nto keep the cross-straps very close to the bars and sometimes that \nplaced them too close to the switchgear, fouling horn and starter \nbuttons. Insufficiently tightened switchgear can be pulled inward which \ncan break the tiny locating pins on some bikes. It allows the \ncustomer to attach tie-downs almost anywhere there is an 8mm or smaller \nbolt (smaller bolts obviously are not as strong).  The Strap Ring is \nbreak tested at 2000 pounds EACH which far exceeds all the tie down \nhooks or carabineers on the market. The original and main idea was to \ngive the motorcyclist a place to attach tie downs to the triple clamp of\n a dirt bike but we have found a million other uses, for instance, in \nthe bed of a truck or trailer, behind passenger peg bolts as a place to \nattach luggage straps on a street bike or anywhere you can put a bolt! \n The eye is large enough to accept the large size 3\/8 inch coated tie \ndown hooks as well as 8mm carabineers and comes packaged in pairs.\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFAQs\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eIs that little ring really strong enough to hold my bike?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAbsolutely!
