This lightweight helmet utilizes a thermo-injected shell incorporating a special polymer blend with varying degrees of thickness, engineered to provide superior impact protection without unnecessary weight.
The inner shell architecture is designed for maximum safety, with multiple density liners ensuring the correct density in key areas for enhanced impact absorption. To address rotational acceleration forces, Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating is applied to the inner EPS liner, acting as a slip plane to minimize the effects of oblique impacts. Additionally, a patented visor release system ensures the visor detaches with a pre-determined amount of force, reducing potential strain on the rider’s neck during an impact.
For rider comfort and longevity, the helmet features a customizable interior. The crown and cheek pads are available in different thicknesses, allowing the fit to be tailored as the rider grows. Ventilation is maximized via 10 inlets and seven exhaust ports, with a visor designed to direct airflow into the ports for high levels of heat transfer exchange.
